RT60 — Reverberation Time
01 — Definition
The time, in seconds, a sound takes to decay by 60 dB once the source stops. Sabine's formula: T = 0.161 × V / A, where V is room volume (m³) and A is total absorption (m²). Markers: speech intelligibility wants <0.5s, live music 0.8–1.5s, and a cathedral 4–10s.
