Socapex / Multicore (19-pin)
01 — Definition
A 19-pin circular multicore (Socapex 419 / LK 19) that runs six power circuits down one heavy cable — the backbone of touring lighting distribution. Pins 1 to 12 are the six live/neutral pairs, 13 to 18 the earths, 19 spare; each circuit is typically rated 16 A. A breakout (fan-out) tail splits it back into six 16 A outlets at the truss, or plugs straight into a dimmer or distro.
02 — In the field
Running all six circuits near 16 A on a coiled, warm Soca cable derates the whole run: uncoil it, and do not take the connector rating for the cable rating. Confirm the breakout is wired to the same pin-out standard as the distro — there are variants that will cross circuits.
