Crossover Frequency
01 — Definition
The frequency at which the signal is divided between drivers. Active crossovers filter in DSP before amplification — flexible, with no power lost; passive ones work after the amplifier, using capacitors and inductors, and waste power as heat. Typical sub crossover: 80–120 Hz; mid/high: 1.5–3 kHz depending on the driver.

Set the subwoofer crossover on the main cabinet's natural −3 dB rolloff, not on an arbitrary round number. Two filters that overlap create a hump; a gap between them, a dip.
